like, i want some characters to have this "idle" but i dont want to place indivual frames for it. I am using macromedia flash 8 also lol.
I use MSpaint and PaintDotNet a bunch. Procreate also ever since I got this new Ipad™®!

i feel like there's a better way to go about this.

I know a few tricks specifically for this purpose.
Create a new keyframe. Select all or parts of the copied keyframe and select "smooth" a couple of times. Paste ~3-5 of these altered keyframes at random intervals every 2 or 3 frames.
This takes about 5 seconds to do per frame, maybe another 20 seconds each to make further clean-ups/altercations. Copying and pasting the same frames into a new spot takes just as little time.

Not sure if flash 8 has symbols or not, but if it does you can turn your character into a symbol and then animate the idle in the symbol timeline and it’ll repeat forever
